Pastor Wynn is a 3rd generation pastor in the Church of God in Christ.  He is a member of two jurisdictions, one in California and the others in Nevada.  He supports both and he is faithful in all of his positions.

In April 2001, the General Board of the Church of God in Christ approved the newly created NorCal Metropolitan Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction, under the Leadership of Bishop J.W. Macklin of the Glad Tidings Church Of God In Christ in Hayward, California.  Pastor Wynn was one of the first pastors to join the jurisdiction.

Upon the organization of the jurisdiction, Bishop Macklin appointed Pastor Wynn the Chairman of the Auxiliaries in Ministry Convention and the President of the jurisdiction’s Youth Department.

Pastor Wynn does not only preach and teach to the youth, he serves and mentors them as well.  Pastor Wynn has a heart for the youth and he works diligently and prayerfully with the Chairlady, Missionary Lawanne’ Ross to conduct powerful youth services and events.  This year, the Nor Cal Youth Department conducted it’s own Youth Convocation simultaneously with the State Convocation and many youth gave their lives to Christ.

In December 2000, the Prelate, Bishop Hall appointed Pastor Wynn as the District Superintendent of the Greater Northern Nevada District.  Supt. Wynn held his first District Meeting in March 2001.  Supt. Wynn has monthly District Fellowship Meetings every 4th Sunday Evening in Reno, Nevada.  The services rotate locations between the churches in the district. In 2003 the Greater Northern District created a Scholarship Fund in memory of the Late Rev. W.J. Wynn.  During the Annual District Meeting, a Scholarship Banquet is held to present several youth.
